2 euro Germany 2019 - Bundesrat (proof)

The Germany 2 Euro Coin 2019 “70 Years of the Bundesrat” is issued in Proof quality and forms part of the series dedicated to Germany’s federal states and important federal institutions. The issue commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Bundesrat, the constitutional body through which Germany’s federal states participate in federal legislation and administration.

The coin design features the Bundesrat building in Berlin together with the inscription “BUNDESRAT”. The design was created by Michael Otto. The coin was struck at all five German mints and bears one of the corresponding mintmarks: A – Berlin, D – Munich, F – Stuttgart, G – Karlsruhe or J – Hamburg.
