The Torre dos Clérigos bell tower, completed in 1763, is one of Porto’s most iconic landmarks and a symbol of Baroque architecture in Portugal. Standing 75 metres high, it offers panoramic views of the historic city centre and the River Douro. A commemorative €2 coin capturing its distinctive design was issued to mark the 250th anniversary of this monumental structure.
