2 euro San Marino 2026 - Assisi (Revese proof)

The San Marino 2 Euro Coin 2026 “800th Anniversary of the Death of Saint Francis of Assisi” is issued in Reverse Proof quality and comes in its original presentation case with a certificate. The issue is dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, founder of the Franciscan Order and one of the most important figures in Christian history.

The design depicts the meeting of Saint Francis of Assisi with the Wolf of Gubbio, symbolising peace, reconciliation and respect for nature. The Reverse Proof finish differs from traditional Proof by reversing the contrast of the surfaces, combining a frosted background with polished relief details. This version was issued in a low mintage of 4,000 pieces.
