2 euro Vatican 2025 - Holy Year (Proof)

The Vatican 2 Euro Coin 2025 “Holy Year – Jubilee 2025” is issued in Proof quality. The commemorative issue is dedicated to the Jubilee Year 2025, officially inaugurated by Pope Francis on Christmas Eve with the solemn opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica.

The design by artist Daniela Longo depicts Pope Francis opening the Holy Door with his own hands. The scene symbolises the beginning of the Jubilee and an invitation to cross the threshold of faith, hope and reconciliation. The open door also represents the Pope’s vision of a welcoming Church, especially for those who suffer, feel distant from the Church or live on the margins of society.
